Captain, Dive Instructor

Captain Alan Roberts: Before arriving in the Virgin Islands in 2008 Captain Alan lived in Ottawa , Canada , working in the hospitality industry for 25 years. Even though Ottawa was not a sailing hotspot, Alan had always been involved in sailing at the local yacht club, which led to his love for the ocean, and all the treasures it offers. After a brief stint working in the computer industry, he decided it was time for a 'little' life change, and his new life on Catalyst was born. Along with being the captain on Catalyst, Alan is also a licensed PADI SCUBA instructor; an Emergency First Responder trained in CPR and first aid, an accomplished chef, and a skilled bartender. Putting these together, with years of sailing experience in the Virgin Islands , Alan has perfected the recipe for a great vacation.
